There are two possibilities that can be recommended. The first is the author's daily driver and does everything needed except online banking as it does not partake of the Google app ecosystem. For online banking any other cheap android phone that can be kept in a drawer is sufficient.

The Fairphone 5 running e/OS is a very repairable and de-googled phone made in the Netherlands. It might not be quite as secure as the Nitrophone but it is more eco-friendly.

The Nitrophone is a Pixel phone running GrapheneOS, a hardened and de-googled version of Android made in Germany.

Both phones are made in Europe and use an operating system that does not require a Google account to function. Both include technology to block tracking and monitoring in all apps.
